How long does it take to complete the instructor training program?

Our instructor training program is 300 hours and can be completed through a full-time program or a part-time program. We strive to make it easy for you to get the training you need to achieve your beauty school teaching dreams.

How much does tuition cost for the instructor training program?

Our program costs only $6.67/hour. When textbooks are added to the cost, your tuition investment is around $2,150. As an accredited beauty school, we are pleased to be able to offer financial aid to those who qualify. See our Financial Aid page for further information.

What are the prerequisites for the instructor training program?

Applicants of the cosmetology instructor training program are required to have a current Kansas cosmetologist license. If you do not have your cosmetologist license, and you would like one, Crave Beauty Academy offers a full cosmetology program that provides all the training hours you need to sit for the state board exam.

What career options are available to beauty school instructors?

Beauty school instructors can go on to teach classes at beauty schools in the state they were licensed in. However, not all graduates of an instructor training program go on to become beauty school instructors. It is possible to get a position in a professional salon or to work at a company that manufactures and/or distributes beauty products. Some graduates of the program may decide to focus on the business aspects of a beauty school instead of the teaching aspects. No matter what path you follow after graduation, we believe our education will help you advance in some way.
