Meet our talented Crave Beauty Academy Team… Excellence in education

The Crave Beauty Academy team strives to stay abreast of the most current industry trends.  Our team consists of some of the finest educators, guest service personnel and directors.  We have been recognized as leaders in the professional industry and our local communities.  We have been honored with some of the most elite awards in Excellence in Education, Best in Business, Emerging Leaders and rated the Winner and Favorited in local community awards.


Wichita Campus

Stacey Peters, Director

Stacey is from Laramie, WY but has also lived in South Dakota, Nebraska, and now she currently lives in Kansas. She is also a licensed Cosmetologist in all four states. Stacey graduated from a Cosmetology school in Wyoming with her associates degree. She then proceeded with her education degree at Xenon International Academy in 2004 for the Educators Program. Stacey has previous experience as a Salon Manger and Stylist, and she was an Educator for Matrix. One of Stacey’s main passions is in education. Stacey’s mentors are Geno Stampora and Dog Cox. She had the privilege to work one on one with them. Stacey states that they are very motivated and strive for a better professional image of our industry. Stacey’s greatest accomplishment is being the youngest Matrix Educator hired in the Mid-West at the age of 21. Stacey is the Campus Director at Crave Beauty Academy. She has pursued her career in the Beauty Industry through Education. She has found that her passion is working with others and watching students grow and achieve success in the industry.

May Elliott, Master Educator

May attended school at Sidney Hairdressing College in 1985 where she obtained her Cosmetology License.  At that time, Sidney’s Hairdressing College was the only Pivot Point School in the area. In 1987, May opened her salon in Kingman, KS. She owned her salon for 20 years. A couple years after May opened her salon, she began to work for Paul Mitchell Education team. She worked and traveled with some of today’s greatest stylist such as Robert Cromeans and Scott Cole. She stayed on the Paul Mitchell Education team for 18 years. When she was introduced to Xenon International Academy, she was thrilled that Xenon was a Pivot Point school, since Pivot Point is what she learned from. May is one of our Color Educators at Crave Beauty Academy, she also teaches American Crew and Nails. May will be celebrating her ten year anniversary with Crave in August 2015.  She is very passionate about Education and the Beauty Industry and loves to share her passion and knowledge with students.

Jessy Orth, Master Educator

Jessica followed in her mother’s footsteps when she earned her cosmetology license and began working behind the chair in August 2005.
She quickly discovered a desire to share her knowledge with aspiring stylists, and became an educator at Xenon International Academy in Wichita, KS in 2007.  Jessica grew into a well-known and respected teacher at Crave and currently leads the school’s sculpture, male specific styling and makeup artist programs. She was inspired to become an American Crew educator after she attended Menswork™ Academy in 2011. Jessica was recognized for her work as a local educator and American Crew TeamCrew member in Wichita Business Journal’s “People on the Move” column that same year.  
In addition to working at Crave, Jessica currently serves as a stylist and makeup artist specializing in beauty, bridal, editorial and special effects. She enjoys doing work for a local photography company, working as an on-location stylist/makeup artist and teaching continuing education classes.

Scarlett Davis, Educator
Since high school, Scarlett has always been apart of the theatre world. So after graduation, she continued on to Cowley Community College on a full ride theatre scholarship. After a year of doing hair and makeup backstage, she wanted to work more with the people. So the next year she decided to continue her passion for hair and makeup and start at Cowley Pivot Point Academy. Scarlett graduated in May of 2011 and jumped right in shears a blazing! Not only was she doing hair, she was also continuing her love for beauty, and special effects makeup independently for weddings, haunted houses and of course the theatre. After working at a few years behind the chair, she specialized in the art of nails, learning more on acrylics, nail art,and electric filing.  Scarlett had been in the field for five years, but wanted to do more than just be behind the chair, she wanted to share her passion with others. So, in 2015 she started and graduated from the educators program at Crave Beauty Academy, where she now is teaching All the Design classes, state law, advanced airbrush makeup, nails I and II, Acrylics, and is one of the nail technology educators. She loves her Crave family, and sharing all she knows with our students!
Jessica Easterwood, Educator
Jessica Easterwood graduated Suma cum Laude from Seward County Community College Cosmetology School in 2012.  While she loves all aspects of the beauty industry, her favorites are color, formal hair styling and designs, hair extensions, and nails. Jessica moved to Wichita from her home town of Rolla, Kansas in late 2015 where she continued to work behind the chair until joining the Crave team in August 2016. In addition to her work at Crave, Jessica freelances as a stylist and makeup artist for pageants, bridal parties, photographers and formal events. She has a deep passion for education and assisting students to reach their professional goals.
Megan Hoffman, Esthetics Educator  
Meghan graduated from Xenon International Academy in 2013 as a licensed Esthetician.  She worked at Salon Centric after graduation.  After realizing her true calling she came back to Xenon/Crave for her instructor training.  Meghan is a Dermalogica Expert certified in Bio Active Peel, Ion Active System, and Advanced Waxing.  She is continually pursuing her own education so she can keep up with industry trends, as well as bring new techniques and information back to students.  Meghan's passion for the beauty industry comes from wanting to help people achieve their best skin yet.  She loves that as an Esthetician and an Educator no day is ever the same and she also loves the "ah ha" moment that students have when they are in the program. 
Kelsi Sears, Educator
Kelsi graduated from Xenon International Academy in 2013, she began her career at JC Penny’s finding her love for color, and color techniques. Kelsi utilized her business skills acquired through the academy, to quickly build a clientele which allowed her to booth rent at Salon Brands. With her passion for color, and educating her clients that sat in her chair, she determined her next path would be to teach what she is so passionate about! Kelsi’s passions are color, vivid’s, balyage, hair sculpting, up-do’s make-up and more. Kelsi is also certified in American Crew, Glad Lash extensions as well as Nail Enhancements. 
Stacy Lee,  Admissions Advisor

Stacy Lee graduated from Xenon International Academy in December of 2010. Stacy has been a licensed cosmetologist and apart of the beauty industry, both behind the chair and freelancing make up artist upon graduation. Currently, Stacy is an Admissions Advisor for Crave Beauty Academy in Wichita, Ks.

Melissa Pasley, Lead Guest Service Coordinator
Melissa graduated from Xenon International Academy as a licensed cosmetologist in 2013 and was valedictorian of her class. During her time as a stylist Melissa certified in Eyelash Extensions and American Crew Menswork, as well as obtained her license in the state of Colorado. After spending two years behind the chair Melissa decided to become a part of the Crave team and is currently the Lead Front Desk Coordinator at our Wichita, KS campus and is looking forward to becoming part of our educational te

Jennifer Martinez, Guest Service Coordinator
Jennifer is currently a student at Newman University and is looking forward to graduate with her Bachelors in Business in the Fall of 2016. She enjoys all aspects of the beauty industry and looks forward to pursuing her career in something related to beauty. She enjoys working with the students and guests and loves being a part of the Crave family.

Alesha Martin, Corporate Office Executive Assistant
Alesha began her schooling for Cosmetology at Xenon International Academy and graduated in 2007 with her Cosmetology License. She then began to work for Charisma Inner Beauty Outward shortly after graduating. Through Charisma, she became certified in Aveda Hair Color. Alesha worked with Charisma until 2008 when she began her training for her Educator’s License. Alesha has always been highly passionate in education and business in the Beauty Industry. She acquired her Educator’s License with Xenon International Academy in 2008 and began to teach. In 2009, she was promoted to Admissions Advisor. Alesha enjoys working with the students and guiding them towards success in the Beauty Industry.  She currently works in the corporate office at Crave.

Sherri Westney,    Director of Student Financial Services, Wichita and Ballwin STL Campus

Sherri has been a part of the beauty industry family since 2003.  After making the decision to sell her family’s business, she chose to enter into a new career for herself…cosmetology.  Sherri earned her cosmetology training at Xenon Int’l Academy.  Immediately after becoming licensed, she continued her education and became a licensed cosmetology instructor/educator.  She then spent the majority of her time in the classroom working with and educating the cosmetologists of the future.   Sherri has been doing financial aid at the academy for several years and is now in the corporate office processing students’ financial aid for both the Wichita, KS and Ballwin, MO campuses for Crave Beauty Academy.

Amy King, Associate Director

Amy has been a licensed Cosmetologist since 2002, a licensed Educator since 2006, and became internationally certified in 38 different countries in 2010. Amy is currently the Associate Director of our Ballwin, MO campus where she works closely with our staff and students.  She continues to share her passion for the industry everyday!


Katlyn Armfield, Admissions Advisor

I have been a licensed Cosmetologist since 2008 and I am a Xenon Graduate. I  have worked behind the chair, for a distributor and managed as well. Now I am here to help you with your next  career path in the Cosmetology field!




Laura Klingler

Business office Administrator


Laura graduated from St. Charles Community College in 2007 with her Associate of Arts degree.  She then went on to Lindenwood University and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education with her minor in Mathematics in 2013.  After spending 2 years teaching middle school Math, she decided she needed a change.  Laura joined Crave Beauty Academy in June 2015 as the Business Office Administrator.  She loves to help our students achieve their dreams!


Stephanie Swim, Guest Service Coordinator

I graduated from Xenon International Academy in 2009, and I absolutely loved going to school.  I felt we represented a part of the beauty industry in St. Louis.  I really enjoy my position as Guest Service Coordinator because I get to interact with both students and clients everyday.  I assist and train the students in Guest Services and the importance of Customer Service.   


Cherie Dees, Guest Service Coordinator


I am a licensed Cosmetologist and an Alumni of Xenon/Crave Beauty Academy. I am certified in Keratin Complex, American Crew, Lash Bomb Eyelash Extensions, Norvell Spray Tanning and Airbrush Makeup. I am passionate about this industry and helping the students become the best they can be!




Tori Spainhoward, Guest Service Coordinator 

Tori currently is a senior at Francis Howell Central high school. She is involved in the A+ Program, DECA, FBLA, Arete, and student council. Tori is looking forward to graduating, in June 2017, to pursue her education in business. Tori loves being a part of the Crave Family and interacting with the students and guests.


Hiedi Kelleher, Student Salon Manager / Educator

Heidi started her career in the hair industry  in 2005. She knew from an early age that she loved the make over process. She worked behind the chair for 10 years before pursuing an educators license. She has been a licensed educator for two years now and her favorite moment is the students “lightbulb” moment. Her passions are hair color, hair design and makeup. Heidi is a certified Redken 5th Avenue Specialist, a certified Jane Iredale makeup artist, and also certified in the keratin complex. She is always pursueing further education so she can grow in knowledge. She absolutely loves this industry and wants the students to grow in the same excitement for the field.




Alex Nelson, Educator

Alex has been a licensed Cosmetologist since 2014 and is an alumni from Xenon/Crave Beauty Academy. She has achieved many certifications such as American Crew, Babe Lash and Hair Extensions, Keratin Complex, Norvell Spray Tanning, and is a certified Hairdresser in 40 different countries!! Alex truly enjoys working side by side with our students and brings great energy everyday!!    


Kelly Knight, Educator

Kelly started her beauty industry journey at Euphoria Institute in Las Vegas, NV, she transferred her hours and is an alumni from Xenon/Crave Beauty Academy. Kelly loves participating in continuing education courses. Also loves keeping up on hair, nail, and make up trends. Kelly is certified in American Crew, CND master artist, Keratin Complex, Norvell Spray Tanning, and is a certified cosmetologist, instructor and Nail technician.


Dione Worthy, Esthetics Educator                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Diona has been a licensed Esthetician since 2009 and has joined our Crave family in 2014. Diona was the owner of her own Esthetics business for five years and currently works with our students to help them build their business and become successful spa professionals.


Tawanna Green, Esthetics Educator

Tawanna Green has been an esthetician at Crave Beauty Academy since January 2016.  She obtained her esthetics license and began her career as an esthetician in 2009. Since then she has attended many skin care product knowledge courses and esthetics educational training as well as extreme lash application training across the country. Tawanna’s passion for skin care makes her job an enjoyable experience each day. She truly believes that investing in our skin is an investment that lasts a lifetime. From facials, lash extensions and waxing services, she takes pride in each treatment she performs. Her connection with her customers establish trust and personal attention for their needs and requests are fulfilling to her. She strives to make each session on her table meaningful for your life that day, guiding your body toward peace, balance and relaxation.


Kim McIntosh, President/Owner

Kim McIntosh serves as President and Executive Director of Crave Beauty Academy.
Currently Kim and her husband, Stan McIntosh, own Crave Beauty Academy.  She changed the name of Xenon International Academy to Crave Beauty Academy in Wichita, KS and Ballwin (St. Louis), MO in December 2014.   Kim opened Salon Crave in Wichita, KS with her daughter and niece as managing partners in December 2014.
Kim and her husband acquired Xenon International Academy in Kansas and Missouri in 2013.  Prior to the acquisition, the past eighteen years she has been partner in three of the six Xenon International Academy campuses.   Her educational background includes college studies in Business Administration and Marketing.  Kim has been active in the Beauty Industry for twenty five years.  She holds a Cosmetology, Esthetics and Instructors license in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.  She has worked behind the chair, in salon management and as a manufacturer educator teaching professionals in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Colorado.   Kim currently serves on the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) board for the last thirteen years.  Kim has served in various positions on the AACS board to include; Vice-President, Secretary, Historian, co-chair of the Annual AACS Convention, team leader of events and supervised an education task force team.   Kim also serves on the MACS -Missouri Association of Cosmetology Schools.  Kim is also active in the communities of the Crave locations.  She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Women’s Business Owners (NAWBO), National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), Cricket Alley Ministries and the local toastmasters club in Wichita, Kansas
